I’m being haunted by an ad, from site to site. Is it Flash? Nope. Was it made in Flash? Maybe.

Notice anything familiar? If the ad were actually Flash and not a badly compressed JPG, I would have been waiting for one of the default audio clips that was included with Flash.
For those that aren’t seeing what is amusing in the ad, it is the blue arcade style button in the picture. If I put on my black turtleneck, I could criticize it in many ways, but there is a pretty simple one. The button is a default asset that comes with Flash, for demonstrating how to make and use a button. For Flash people it is the equivalent of seeing some of the default Microsoft clip art in an ad. Its just strange.
Digg this!

I love that button - actually, the orange one - but I use those all the time. When I’m just doing something quick or need a test button for something, it’s arcade buttons all the way.

Hi Justin,
I’ve just posted something your post reminded me about, at: http://www.asvguy.com/2006/10/nonflash_flash.html
Thanks.
Best regards,

Thats darn funny. I only just got to playing with flash and one of the first things I saw was that button. I am not much further down the road now mind you, but it was nostalgic. Thanks. I will digg it too.

I am picking up my new Wii tommorow and don’t think I will be able to sleep. It should be quite a step up from my xbox. I’ll add you as my friend as soon as I get it. Yipeeee

Also, that picture of the woman is an old imagebank picture, used by among others 2advanced on the earlier site for IP Expert back in 2000ish.
