If you haven’t seen it already, just MUST try Not Pron. This is a web-based puzzle game where you must get from level to level by any means you can. You can read the source fiddle with URLs, and do anything else that comes to mind other than searching for the answer. To add mood to the whole thing, there is creepy music playing through all the levels.

Spreading this game has just about become a crime at work. I got hate IMs for about a week after I started sending around the link. People just get obsessed. I have been really impressed at how well-made the game is because it was equally appealing to several product managers, sales people, designers and engineers. There was enough geeky fun stuff to keep engineers happy while also making it accessible enough that you don’t have to have a huge technical background.

Some of the sample Making Of document is very interesting to read. The game’s author, David Münnich talks about his approach to level design and the many factors that make the game challenging, but not arbitrarily difficult.
