Amazing, really cool, this is the first time I see these Astro demos and i love it!
In addition to working on the player, where can I post suggestions to improve the Flash IDE..
Discussion on the Astro Wiki isn’t working properly….
My biggest concern — for the past several years — is text. You say there will be advanced text capabilities, but all that is offered up as proof is bi-directional text and multi-column layout. Don’t get me wrong, those things are great, but what matters for the vast majority of us is text-handling capabilities more on par with Illustrator. That is, more on par with what Illustrator has been capable of for the past 10 or 15 years. Things like:
- True kerning/tracking/leading
- Space before/after paragraphs!!!!!!!!!!!
- Baseline shift
- WYSIWYG tab control
- Hanging indents
- Text on a path
- Text in a shape
- Text flow around a shape
- More paragraph justification options
- Linkable text boxes (not neccesarily the same as columns)
