Now I am off to find some purple potatoes. I actually saw some this weekend at the local farmers market. Wondered what they tasted like. Maybe I will give them a try.

Purple potatoes are great! They have a really nice flavor that isn't present in your standard Idaho Russet. They also make good potato salad, but it's better to use a mustardy vinegrette than mayo.

Purple cauliflower, though, is just wrong.

The new Yahoo! blogging policy sounds like reasonable, common-sense permission to blog about Yahoo!, but, to my non-lawyer mind, it creates bizarre legal conundrums.

For example, the guidelines say:

"Any confidential ... information is obviously off-limits for your blog per the Proprietary Information Agreement...."

But referenced agreement states:

"[An employee] shall not publish ... works in any media about Yahoo!...."

In other words, the guidelines say you may blog within the rules, but the rules say you may not blog.

I wonder if I could be in trouble for quoting the guidelines and agreements, which might be construed as confidential information.

And does the photo of the color coordinated potato salad violate the rule against using Yahoo! trade dress in a blog?
