For those that don’t know what Yahoo! 360 is, it is Yahoo!’s social networking and blogging system. You can add friends, write journal entries and share your Yahoo! photos with your friends from a central location. Then the power of the Yahoo! network takes over.

Once you are signed in you will start to see that user comments in various sections (for instance restaurant reviews in Y! Local Search) will be flagged for people within a few degrees of you and let you know how someone close to you feels about the place. As the service expands, I think there will be several interesting ways this will show up.

As an example, through 360 I discovered another Yahoo! that had reviewed my favorite breakfast spot (that I blogged about a couple weeks ago). Also a friend from college that I hadn’t seen in almost 10 years ran across me in 1 day on 360. The randomness of life had us knowing a lot of people in common but never running into each other ourselves.
